Converted heavy drinkers
A farmer in one small Welsh village was regarded with some disfavour by the
local chapel-goers because both he and his wife were heavy drinkers and indeed
were known to drink beer out of the teapot.
However, they were induced to attend a frenzied revival meeting in the chapel
and were so affected by this that both of them gave up their intemperate habits.
At the next meeting the farmer came forward to testify to the change in his
life.
"Yes," he declared, "the Lord has converted me, has converted
my wife and has converted the teapot."
